THE REFLECTIONS OF THE FIRST IZMIR ECONOMIC CONGRESS ON WORKING LIFE AND LABOR LAW

Summary/Abstract: The First Izmir Economy Congress, which is of great importance in terms of being under the challenging conditions of the national struggle period and convening the Lausanne Peace Negotiations in a paused period, affected the social life in many aspects and brought important gains with it. Considering the conditions of the period in question, the fact that an economic congress was organized in a period of struggle for independence shows the importance given to economic independence. The aim of this study is to investigate and emphasize the importance of the decisions regarding the measures taken in the field of working life and labor law that came up at the First Izmir Economic Congress.
