Summary/Abstract: The usage rate of internet and social media tools and the number of users are increasing day by day. The unconscious use of social media tools, which are used extensively at the addiction level today, can bring some problems. Violation of children's rights through social media is among the most important of these problems. Behaviors defined as "over-sharing" in the international literature also constitute the parental dimension of this problem. The aim of this study is to investigate the legally problematic aspects of parents' over-sharenting behaviors in social media. Within the scope of the study, firstly, "sharenting" and "over-sharenting" behaviors will be examined. Then, the legally problematic aspects of "over-sharenting" behavior will be emphasized in the light of international and national regulations, especially the "Convention on the Rights of the Child". It is considered that such behavior violates children's rights, and posts made for the purpose of earning income can be qualified as “child labor”.
