DOCUMENTARY HEURISTICS AS A SCIENCE

Summary/Abstract: Purpose of Article. The purpose of the study is an attempt to generalize a system of existing ideas about the main components of documentary heuristics, to consider documentary heuristics as a science that is only being formed. Methodology. The methodology of the research is based on a comprehensive analysis of the main components of documentary heuristics, general scientific studies and particular methods of knowledge. Scientific novelty is based on the idea that the theoretical aspect of the documentary heuristics has been investigated as a science for the first time. Its object, subject, and purpose has been determined. The scope of tasks and the core questions are defined. Conclusion. The author’s definition of documentary heuristics as a scientific-applied discipline of the social and communication cycle is offered.
