DISCLOSURE OF THE CONTENTS OF ARCHIVAL DOCUMENTS: THESAURUS APPROACH

Summary/Abstract: Purpose of the Article. Сlarification of the possibilities of disclosing archival funds with the help of information retrieval thesaurus. The methodology of the research is to apply such methods as logical, analytical, chronological, descriptive, which allow to consider archival funds through the prism of the thesaurus approach. Scientific novelty of the work is the disclosure of the contents of archival documents with the help of information retrieval thesaurus on the example of the Central State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art of Ukraine. Conclusions It is provided examples of dictionary articles for information retrieval thesaurus of the Central State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art of Ukraine. It is proposed to improve the disclosure of archival funds by developing and implementing a thesaurus system.
