From the rhetoric of place to the rhetoric of locality. Introduction

Summary/Abstract: ‘The rhetoric of locality’ is not a term widely used in the literature of rhetoric, it appears however in some new research studies within the large area of ‘the rhetoric of space’ alongside such names as ‘vernacular rhetoric’, ‘rhetorical ethnography’, ‘field rhetoric’ or ‘in situ rhetoric’. While this short introduction does not aim at defining these terms nor at exploring their relations, intersections and differences between them, it offers a brief review of tendencies in this field of rhetorical research.
