Summary/Abstract: An innovation is considered strategic when it goes beyond the particular school in which it occurs, when it inspires other organizations to apply it in a similar way to their own capabilities and conditions. Only with sufficient quantitative accumulation of innovations in the educational process in any Bulgarian school can we speak of a qualitative change in Bulgarian education. At present, the main innovative policies in education are aimed at transition: - from a classroom centered to the teacher in a classroom centered on the student; - from a single path of acquiring knowledge, skills and attitudes, to multiple paths; - from a unified media environment to a multimedia environment; - from isolated work, to work in collaboration between pedagogical specialists; - from delivery of information to exchange of information; - from passive listening in the classroom to active dialogue in it; - from a fragmented introduction of information technology to a close link between ICT and new educational theories for teaching and learning.
