Summary/Abstract: The study aims to analyze the institution of extinctive prescription focusing on its changes due to the rules of the new Civil Code. Throughout the paper there are reported only those changes where items on the extinctive prescription acquire other meanings in relation to the previous regulation. Also, taking into account the transitional provisions governing extinctive prescription, reference is made to the previous regulations through comparative overview in relation to them, of the new regulations.
