The recognition of foreign awards in the international commercial arbitration

Summary/Abstract: The foreign arbitral decisions, pronounced in the international commercial arbitration accomplished abroad or pronounced in the causes with a fore, may be acknowledged, executed or contested on the national territory, according to the rules established by the international legislation in the field and according to the own regulations of the countries where these decisions are to be executed. By acknowledging a foreign arbitral decision, we want to accept its effects on the territory of another state different from the one where it had been pronounced, except for the executory power.The recognition of a foreign judgment entailsthe recognition of its effects through a contentious procedure which aims to verify the compliance with the regularity conditions of suchjudgements.
