Linguistic aspects of Chinese translations of Polish literature (with special emphasis on short stories by Sławomir Mrożek)

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to provide information about translations of Polish literature in China, with particular emphasis on translators' statements about translation strategies. The second part concerns the translation of short stories by Sławomir Mrożek. On the basis of selected examples, issues worth discussion in translation studies have been shown, which might cause trouble for Chinese translators due to cultural and language differences.
