Summary/Abstract: Starting from the new vision of the lawmaker of the institution of extinctive prescription, the present article presents the particularities regarding the beginning of the extinctive prescription, emphasizing the observed novel aspects. Thus, after a general presentation of the institution of the extinctive prescription, on the one hand the general rule regarding the beginning of the prescription, and on the other hand the special rules in the matter will be subject to analysis.
