Summary/Abstract: In recent years, the role of sport in economic and social development of many countries has been constantly increasing. Thus, more and more emphasis is placed on the development of sports clubs, which have multi role to play in the economy. Football clubs as representatives of the fastest growing sports business are facing a difficult time of change. The concept of social responsibility is likely to become an effective tool to support the development of these organizations. The research has shown that clubs take different actions in the areas of social responsibility, but are not always aware of the role that the concept is likely to affect the functioning of such organizations in the future.
