Summary/Abstract: Ecologistics is an activity aimed at the laying of such foundations of companies’ activities throughout the logistic chain of material goods flow that the production and post-production processes implemented are least harmful to the environment. Through these activities, Ecologistics directly prevents all threats to ecological security. As a result of production growth, the surrounding environment is gradually more and more polluted with waste and various kinds of chemical compounds emitted into waters, air and soil. This problem was (in a broader sense) noted in the second half of the twentieth century, when the society grew aware of the risk. The purpose of the article is to present the conditions of operations of a logistically integrated waste management system and recirculation logistics that are important for ecological security. The study includes a source analysis.
