Autonomisation of Vehicles and Road Transport

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article was to analyse the utility of autonomous cars for transport companies. The source of information will be literature studies and secondary research. The author’s research question was how introducing autonomous trucks can affect road transport Based on the literature and author’s experience it can be said that the autonomization of car will give a lot of advantages to transport companies like: replacing drivers with autonomous systems, higher security, more efficient use of drivers’ working time, self diagnosis, the ability to better match the product to user requirements and better adaptation of autonomous vehicles to the requirements of city centers.
