Summary/Abstract: In the literature, the problem of effective employees’ compensation and motivation during the process of restructuring is rarely discussed. Most of the available publications that deal with the issue indicate the problem of employment and cost reduction. Few authors try to draw attention to the reduced morale of employees as well as to the important changes that supposed to be introduced in the compensation system. Therefore, the aim of this study is to supplement this gap in the literature on effective employees’ compensation during the restructuring process. Based on the empirical research, the perspective of the modified compensation system has been presented as well as some recommendations for the specific railway company.
