Summary/Abstract: This article discusses the issue of the delimitation of tourist destinations, with particular consideration of cross-border destinations. The Baltic Sea Region, which is an EU macroregion, has been analysed. The authors have conducted literature research on the definition and delimitation of the Baltic Sea Region. They prepared a delimitation modelbased on which they carried out empirical research on international cooperation in theBSR. They used the UIA (Union of International Associations) database for this purpose. As a result of the research, they propose a concept of three circles determining the BSR borders. The identification of this Region makes the delimitation of tourist destinations significantly easier for the purposes of maritime, coastal and transnational tourism. Thearea covering nine coastal countries as well as Norway and Belarus should be identified as a tourist region in a broad sense.
