Summary/Abstract: This study concerns a very current and significant function for the proper and undisturbed functioning of the financial market and the problem of the clients’ trust in the financial institutions that provide financial services and the financial market as such. This is important because in the post-crisis reality in the financial market, there is a noticeable decreasein clients’ trust in the financial market as well as in financial institutions providing financial services, which resulted in the need to restore the reputation of financial institutions and protect the essential value on which the functioning of financial market,is based on what trust is.Market practices of financial institutions, despite the increase in regulatory and legal protection mechanisms of the consumer, and even the client of financial services, often they are far from honest and transparent. The purpose of this article is therefore to point out that in the face of the recent severe financial institutions’ stagnation in contractual relations with clients, such as trust, loyalty, honesty and reliability, is necessary to restore proper order and market discipline on the financial market and rebuild confidence to the financial market and institutions that occur on them, which is a condition for its proper functioning and development. It has become a great challenge, at the same time a great need and care not only for public authorities, but also, if not primarily for the financial institutions themselves. The author attempts to answer the following questions: What kind of state actions are necessary and what are they to take on the dimension and form to ensure proper application and enforcement of the client’s financial protection law and restore order and confidence in the financial market and, above all, the real protection of the client of financial institutions?
