Summary/Abstract: In the printing industry, more precisely in the processes of label and packaging production, still a lot of parameters affecting the quality of production processes are madeusing the experimental selection method. Collecting industrial data from the production process can be a mine of knowledge for an experienced analyst who is able to extract fromthis data the knowledge that will improve the quality of production or increase the efficiencyof the process. The lack of identification of the parameters of the label production processes may cause losses at the level of over a dozen thousand for one hour of the printing machines operation. The aim of the article is to make the issues of label and packaging production in the context of the use of data mining tools more familiar. Statistical analyzes contained in this study were used by the authors to discover dependencies occurring in the labeling process, which have a significant impact on the final quality of the produced labels, but also on thequality of the production process. The article contains the results of own research carried out in a printing company producing various types of labels and packaging. The results of the application of statistical techniques and tools for the analysis of the label printing process such as histograms, probability analyzes, ANOVA analysis, Pareto-Lorentz diagrams are presented. The applied statistical analyzes of the flexographic printing process yielded surprising results, indicating significant differences in the efficiency of the printing process, depending on the design solutions introduced. These results were supported by appropriate statistical analyzes. The most important variables have been defined that affect the speed and efficiency of the printing process [Lipiak, Werpachowski 2015, p. 49].
