Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to analyse the argumentative functioning of the formula (in the sense of Krieg-Planque 2003, 2009) dobra zmiana (‘good change’) in the Polish public space. After identifying the argumentative potential of the campaign slogan, that it was in the origin and with which the political party Prawo i Sprawiedliwość (Law and Justice) came to power in Poland in 2015, we analyse the argumentative strategies in the discourse of the opponents of the ruling party (politicians and anti-government journalists). The formula dobra zmiana is used in this discourse in order to disqualify the ruling party in a declared way or in a veiled way, which is done in three ways: adoption without formal alterations, adoption with défigement and avoidance.
