Summary/Abstract: In changing and unpredictable conditions, there are key competencies that managers have. The most important ones are these connected with leadership. Applying fit to Polish conditions questionnaire of measuring the leadership style, elaborated by the R.R. Blake and J.S. Mouton, called the managerial grid, the authors analysed the leadership attitudes of future managers. It was observed that the vast majority of respondents declare low interest in realised tasks and moderate concentration on employees. Therefore it is necessary to inform the future managers about the importance of both areas of interest and their importance in efficient realisation of leadership responsibilities. Only then the effective development of future managing staff will be possible.
