Summary/Abstract: Among the many factors affecting the modern labor market, generational changes are important as they constitute a key aspect determining the effectiveness of human capital management in organizations. The study focuses on the relationship between employees from the youngest generations on the labor market and their superiors. Characteristics of these young employees and their functioning in the work environment cause that the management of people from these generations is often a challenge for the managers. The aim of the article is to identify the expectations of young workers from Y and Z generations concerning relations with superiors and to indicate the possible use by managers of the factors shaping positive relationships with these subordinates. In describing this issue, reference was made to the subject literature and the results of research and reports illustrating the expectations of these employees regarding work and especially relations at the workplace. The research part of the study presented the results of surveys with people from the youngest generations on the labor market, which were supplemented with information from group interviews.
