Diversification Management of Energy Supplies upon PCI Projects

Summary/Abstract: This paper presents legal-economic analysis of the PCI projects management on the EU energy market. On the example of one of those projects running in Poland (BalticPipe), author describes advantages driving from the possibility of taking PCI projects by the EU members. The main aim of this paper was to characterize in general PCI projects, considering both their influence for the management of energy supplies in EU, includin gpositive but also possible negative consequences. Considering actual demand on the fewenergy resources and general dependence from several key-players, PCI projects are seenas chance to raise diversification of energy supplies, ie.to create new energy resources. The paper was written under the comparative and linguistic scientific methods.
