Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to identify and analyze Polish contribution to global research on sustainable development in management sciences. The author formulated four research questions regarding the dynamics of these studies over time, leading academic centers, thematic areas and their reception in the scientific community. The analyses were carried out using bibliometric methods and the data were taken from the Scopus bibliographic database. It turned out that one can observe an initial, weak growing trend when it comes to publishing research results by Polish researchers. Several academic centers dominate: Technical University of Lodz, University of Lodz, University of Economics in Poznan, Polish Academy of Sciences. International cooperation networks with the participation of Polish researchers were also identified. Unfortunately, only a few of them have been noticed by the academic world and have obtained high citation indicies. Their subject matter concerned such issues as eco – industrial parks, biomass, sustainable change, remanufacturing and decision making.
