Summary/Abstract: Since 1925, when the Romanian Orthodox Church has been declared Patriarchate, it has been constantly trying to maintain and to enrich its spiritual treasury by the way in which it honours the Saints, mainly those who have a common descending line with the Romanian people. In this direction the multiple acts of sanctification adopted by the Holy Synod up to now have contained in their consistency a series of Daco-Roman martyrs who have been given the appropriate recognition through the care of the hierarch, of the whole clergy and of the Romanian people. Also, the cultic texts have been composed according to the Eastern tradition in order to mirror this recognition.
