Summary/Abstract: This article purpose is to highlight the stress factors, anxiety, self-esteem and coping strategies in adolescence. The article is focused to identify; a) the stressors perceived by female and male high-school pupils; b) the pupils’ level of perceived stress and (c) the stress management strategies employed by high-school pupils. The data analysis with S.P.S.S. 13 identify some significant differences between male and female 11th and 12th grade pupils regarding the assessment of stressors at school; some significant differences between male and female 11th and 12th grade pupils regarding the anxiety levels, regarding the self-esteem and some significant differences regarding the use of certain coping strategies by male and female high-school pupils.
