Summary/Abstract: During the 60s and 70s of the twentieth century, alternative theatre movements appear in the context of American culture, experimental theatre companies that debate political topics, protests against the Vietnam War, discuss the problems of minorities and disadvantaged groups, make way for feminine problems/concerns/ in the theatre etc. via performances based on real events, highlighting important political issues, street protests and public actions that are dressed in theatrical event forms. With the direct participation of the public in the performance, the multiplied attention, a performative environment surrounded by actors and the public, mix of life and art – all of these are to be developed by directors and playwrights.
