Summary/Abstract: Modern enterprises along with the economic growth tend to put more interest on implementation of new management and production controlling methods in order to react quickly and flexibly to changining market needs. One of such methods is Lean Manufacturing which means skimming production in terms of needed material resources, supply maintenance, production space usage. When compared to traditional mass production systems, the concept of Lean Manufacturing characterises faster and more detailed fulfilment of customer’s needs with the usage of lower level of resources. It is recognised as one of the most efficient method of production management and control. Due to the choice and application of proper for a particular process Lean tool, the enterprise is able to gain many advantages e.g. decline in quantity of shortages, shorten time of orders completing, improve productivity, meet supply deadlines, decline in stocks.
