Summary/Abstract: Family businesses are the main source of the economy, and only a minimal amount gets through to the second generation to thrive, because they face major challenges such as the generation of a heritage stay in the market. In addition they have a high mortality and therefore need to be strengthened to survive. The objective was expose a set of strategies to support a family company dedicated to organizing events and propose a possible solution to the problem of succession through key strategies with which this company to achieve a transition to when proceeding to the succession and continue to generate greater wealth for business and family. The study addresses the case of a service company; observation and interviews was used. The results and conclusion show us to carry out the succession in this company, the owners must first professionalize their management processes and strategic planning as well as the institutionalization of values, raising awareness on their own about the need to get organized processes later choose a strategy to carry out the family succession.
