Summary/Abstract: The article considers the structural and disciplinary characteristics of doctoral programs in Social Pedagogy, professional field 1.2. Pedagogy that are advanced by our classical universities. Analysis criteria are the requirements of the Regulations for the Application of the Act for the Development of the Academic Staff in the Republic of Bulgaria, the thematic sufficiency of the disciplines/courses in the scientific field of the doctoral program and the academic freedom in the design of the individual curriculum. Considering possibilities to support managerial reflection on programs in relation to their validation, respectively, accreditation is the pragmatic aim. Some comparative features of the programs are the so-called “Doctoral minimum”.
