The Entourage Party –a pattern for romanian postcommunist partidism

Summary/Abstract: The phenomenon of Romanian partidism appears not to adhere to already utilizied models in specialized literature, be it either the classic western model or the generic post communist version, in light of its specific characteristics – in particular, its unrelatedness to its social medium. Our theoretical solution is the entourage party, which has the advantages of capturing both the specific character of Romanian political parties, as well as their functional formula, adapted to Romanian postcommunism.
