Summary/Abstract: This study presents a comparative analysis between Faust by Goethe and The Master and Margaret by Bulgakov. Faust’s myth is the myth of the pact with the devil. Faust sells his soul for something. This something becomes happiness, love, knowledge, truth. The faint myth is the myth of the pact with the devil. Faust sells his soul for something. This something becomes successively, happiness, love, knowledge, truth, etc. Illustration of the faulty myth is very common in literature.
