Summary/Abstract: The present review tries to establish the value of the novel of Michel Houellebecq, entitled Submission. This book is a novel of a superb poetry of apocalypse, a visionary dystopia which presents the legitimate installation of a moderate Muslim government. The Sorbonne will become a Muslim university, so the career of the main character becomes dependent on a possible religious conversion. After reading this novel, it seems that we are invite to refl ect about the decline of contemporary society and our unconscious need for obedience.
