Bulgarian version of the Perceived Stress Scale

Summary/Abstract: The article reviews the development of a Bulgarian version of the perceived stress scale designed to measure the stress perceptions particularly when the individuals' appraisal of the situation is of a theoretical importance. It is presented a psychometric validation information on 14-item and 10-item versions of the scale. Validity data are compared of two surveys on student and soldier samples. Construct validity information is provided showing the associations of the two versions of the scale with single item measures, anxiety and depression.
