Summary/Abstract: In the last years there have been a significant redefining of the nature of cognition and breaking new ground of our understanding about what is behind the complex processes such as thinking, remembering and attention. The researchers of different theoretical approaches have started to reexamine some fundamental assumptions of the classic cognitivism, which resulted in abandoning of the idea that the mind is an abstract information processor whose connections with the outside world have little significance. There is an increasingly higher number of the researchers who support the embodiment thesis by emphasizing that scientific explanation of cognitive processes cannot exclude human body, brain and experience.
