The Past, Present and Future of The Hungarian Administrative Jurisdiction

Summary/Abstract: In order to create the modern organizational and personal conditions for an independent administrative jurisdiction, the on 12th December 2018 the Hungarian Assembly adopted the Act CXXX of 2018, establishing the Administrative Courts in Hungary. Its preamble, in addition to declaring, inter alia, that “the purpose of the administrative jurisdiction is to ensure the rule of law with regard to the actions of the public administration” , puts trust in the independence of the judiciary and the unity of the jurisdiction.
