Administrative Aspects of the Hungarian Child Protection System

Summary/Abstract: The concept of child protection can be approached from various aspects. According to one of these aspects, child protection is a public activity designed to promote the upbringing of a child in the family, to prevent and eliminate the endangering thereof, and to provide a substitute protection for the child leaving the parent or other relatives. Based on another approach, child protection is a set of measures taken by the family, society and authority that targets the physical, mental and moral advancement of children from birth to self-rightousness.
