The Kitchen - before and up-to-date

Summary/Abstract: In the article principle components of the kitchen outfit are studied. The tentability and fitness to live in of kitchen's room so as its multiple functions have been interpreted in their direct relations and continuity with the period of traditional culture patterns. Setting up and analysis of the interior components in the present-day urban society represents their mobility and dynamism. The period of transition from traditional culture to present-day patterns is described as an eclectical one, with imperfect function of everyday-life artefacts and an inadequate mastering of new patterns as well. In the well developed gear of cyclically acting interior components the quicker amortization and growing out-of-mode of belongings and artefacts is standing out in contrast to the preceding period, when they had been utilized till their full material wearing out and "old-fashioned" artefacts practically hadn't existed. Specifying of a regulated minimum of belongings and utensils in the kitchen and its supplement with new ones contributes to the more precise description of its pattern, with a seasonal loading during the late autumn, winter and early in the spring. The most used space in the house is at the same time the most important structure component in everyday-living system, based on mutual, routine, household activities and their results and prerogatives.
