Summary/Abstract: The article makes a survey of the joint existence of the Greek and the Slavonic spiritual tradition in the Ohrid (Ochrida) archbishopric from the 10th century to the period of Ottoman domination. The main attention is devoted to the images and the relics of the Seven Saints (SS Cyril and Methodius and their disciples) that are kept in the churches in Verea and Syatista. Stress is laid on the special role played by the Ohrid archbishopric for making popular the veneration of the Seven Saints. The liturgical texts dedicated to St. Clement of Ohrid and St. Nahum of Ohrid are among the first printed books at Moschopolis. There one can see also a new service in honour of the Seven Saints. The article presents a service of prayer to St. Nahum with an acrostic from the year 1800.
