Summary/Abstract: In this paper I will continue to develop a comparative analysis between Bergsonian intuitionism and some central philosophical aspects of L.E.J. Brouwer’s mathematical thought. The main points of interest will be set in a hermeneutical framework which is not only a specific and narrow one, but has its roots in a structural understanding of modernity as a whole. The latter has two principal levels, the critical denouncement and the autonomous founded cognitive construction put into practice by the self. First and foremost, I will highlight here the decisive role played by temporality and different expressions of subjectivity for the two authors.
