Summary/Abstract: A successful intercultural communication is the result of developing speech competencies and pedagogical interaction. Intercultural learning aims to develop a sensitivity for different perspectives that are often more subtle and more complex than simplistic national stereo-typing suggests. Perspectives which are sensitive to such subtle differences grow out of cultural predispositions as well as common social contexts. This approach aims to show the way in which German language teaching and intercultural speech didactics are linked. Diversity as a positive factor for the language-learning process may be understood and transgressed through the acquisition of intercultural competencies. The scenic didactics by the example of dialogues , that facilitates ways towards understanding, stands as the main topic of this approach. Through dialogues competencies, that is free of culturally specific restrictions, people of different ethnic backgrounds can feel naturally connected, that in time reaches the phase of cross-cultural communication. The parameters and tasks mentioned here lead not only to new, motivational learning methods for the students but also exciting requirements for the teachers regarding their role and their teaching skills.
