Summary/Abstract: The new Romanian civil code stipulated for the first time the stipulation for another, which is the only real exception to the principle of relativity of the contract's effects. Neither this Law does contain detailed rules about this institution and it is limited by determine their effects, but, in any case, the solution chosen is a step forward in modernization of the Romanian legislation, as a whole.
