Summary/Abstract: The author presents the American biblical research and researchers in a broad context of American religion and religiousness. The second part of a series of articles in the field presents some periods of Biblical study in the USA. One of the most important influences came from Great Brain, so one of the periods is called the British period (1916– 1945). Another period is the continental period (1945–1980). In the article the biblical archeology and the dialectical theology of the American scholars is presented. The reader can find a list of the most important and well known American professors teaching in Europe as well as the list of names of the Catholic Biblical Scholars in the USA.
