Summary/Abstract: In a world that still revolves according to Industrial Revolution principles, teachers need to take back their education and head towards 21st century. This means that students are no longer simple stand byers of their own learning, but active participants. In order to be successful in a more digitalized world that requires more complex and elaborate skills teachers need to prepare their students for life and real world. This article argues that successful teaching comes through strategic thinking, universal design, student-centered teaching and active engagement in one’s learning.
