Summary/Abstract: The study aims to highlight the relation between the level of anxiety in sports and the level of self-esteem in the students from the primary school, from the rural area. The participants in the study (N=60) are students from the primary school, from the third and fourth grades, with ages between 9-10 / 11 years. The working tools used are The Sport Anxiety Scale-2 (SAS-2, 15 items, authors Smith et al., 2006) and the Hare Self Esteem Scale (30 items). The results obtained from the Pearson correlation test illustrate that the level of sport anxiety in team games, in terms of the ability to concentrate during the game, is negatively related to the pupil's school self-esteem and family self-esteem. Therefore, intervention directions are needed to increase the level of self-esteem of the students in the school to improve their ability to concentrate on the game.
