Functioning of the Balanced Scorecard for mazowieckie voivodeship Marshal’s Office

Summary/Abstract: Voivodeship government determines the strategy development of a region, which includes the diagnosis of the socio-economic region, the strategic objectives of regional development policies and directions of actions taken by the voivodeship government in order to achieve the strategic objectives of the regional development policy. The executive body is the Voivodship Board that performs the tasks of a region with the Marshal's Office. The experience of the last few years shows that the right tool for the measurement and implementation of the strategy can be the Balanced Scorecard. The main objective of this paper is to present the essence of the Balanced Scorecard in accordance with the requirements of the public sector and to discuss functioning of the Balanced Scorecard in Mazowieckie Voivodeship Marshal's Office in Warsaw.
