THE NEED FOR UNIFORMIZATION OF THE PREPARATION OF BORDER AUTHORITIES AT EUROPEAN UNION LEVEL

Summary/Abstract: The need to change and adapt the training systems for border authorities is at the center of gravity of European Union foreign and domestic security. Only by investing in knowledge and developing new technologies, Europeans shall be protected from threats, yet their right to privacy and fundamental rights are protected. This is the need for states to share resources, ideas and information to draw common values, to benefit from others' best practices and improve interoperability through common training, technologies and procedures.
