Summary/Abstract: Innovative enterprise spends considerable financial expenditures on research and development, and implements new scientific and technical solution. Realization of this function requires proper configuration of organizational structure. Organizational structure in innovative enterprises should promote conducting and implementing innovation. In the first part of the article has been taken an attempt to identify the characteristics of innovative organizational structures. In the second part of the article organizational structures of polish SMEs were diagnosed by virtue of their pro-innovativeness.
