Summary/Abstract: If, after the creation of the world, God brought man into existence, at the “fullness of time” the Son of God became man, so that, through Him, He could unite with the whole creation, whose synthesis is man. From the whole material world, only man bears the image of the Creator and through him the world honors the Master of all, just as the people honor the king through his image. As the image of God, man is the expression of the highest value in the world. This value is manifested by the force of his mind, by his ruling over the world and by the effort of his virtues to reach the likeness of God. If the creation of the world demonstrated the omnipotence of God, the incarnation of His Son, a new act of creation, manifested God’s love for us.
