Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the relation between religion and politics in the case of the Transylvanian Antitrinitarians. The main issue of the paper is: Did the Antitrinitarian theology affect in any way the policy of Transylvania? This question is answered in two steps: the role of Antitrinitarianism in the consolidation of the new state and the political allegiances of important personalities of the Antitrinitarian movement and nobility.
