Spiritual Activities in the Parish of Puńsk at the Second Half of the 17th Century

Summary/Abstract: Straipsnyje, remiantis XVII a. antrosios pusės Punsko parapijos vizitacijų ir inventorių medžiaga (1669, 1672, 1676, 1700 m.), aprašoma eilinės Vilniaus vyskupijos parapijos padėtis. Pateikiama duomenų apie to meto klebo- nus, aptariama bažnyčios įranga, apibūdinama parapinė mokykla, prieglauda, itin daug dėmesio skiriama parapi- jos knygoms aptarti, išryškinamos pagrindinės sielovados problemos ir jų sprendimo būdai. The article describes Puńsk parish – a typical parish in Vilnius diocese, based on the material of visitations and inventories (of the year 1669, 1672, 1676, 1700) as sources of the investigation. Priests, equipment of the church, parochial school and shelter are discussed. Special attention is paid to the description of parochial books. Finally, most important problems of spiritual activities are pointed out as well as their solutions.
