Summary/Abstract: In the article authors analyses the problem of eductional adaption in the fifth grade. The suggested solution for the formulated problem is the usage of creative expression as the mediated mean, which stimulates changes and create conditions for recording the expression of these changes during the period of adaptation. Authors also revels the specificity of the pedagogical activity of the art teacher, which is manifested in the organisational scpecificity of teaching-learning process, that is in the creation of conditions for experimentation with the means of art expression, the possibilities of emotional language expression, the stimulation of independent critical thinking and self-evaluation. In this way new functions of art teacher, that are related to the usage of therapeutic aspects of art expression, abilities to research activity and manage change, are clearified. The research is based on the methodology of qualitative research. The methods that were chosen for the qualitative research, namely interview and the analysis of art teachers diaries, allowed to record the real pedagogical situations, the features of which were the individuality and uniqueness, without preconception. Comparative analysis of creative art works revealed the change, which appered as the result of interaction between art teacher and learner.
